SpeedTree crashes when using Target generator with Hand Drawn mode

Hi all,

I am new to SpeedTree and I am currently learning via an online video course. I am at the point of the course where I am trying to populate my leaf textures onto my branch via the Target generator + Leaf Mesh generator.

My issue occurs when I convert the Target generator to Hand Drawn and press spacebar + RMB click to place each leaf. Just after the click, my software crashes.

In the tutorial the lecturer is able to place multiple leaves in this way making it for quicker and more efficient leaf placement.

I also cannot seem to find a crash log anywhere to understand what the issue is.

Does anyone have any advice?

Hello annaoates

Targets don't work with click and place. To generate targets, increase the number value in the generation section of the properties and place them by hand using the rotation and translation gizmos. Personally, I like to set the style to laser, as I can precisely set the angle and position of the target.
