baroncocktail sorry for the delay on responding. While our modeler is still safe to use, we understand that our not having a certificate identifying it as such can feel alarming. We will be adding a certification in our future SpeedTree modeler release.
In the meantime, we apologize for any concern the warning message causes.

Hi,
It is now April 2020, and this problem still hasn't been solved. I get the same warning when trying to run the installer on Windows.
speedtree team: please take this issue seriously.

Thank you!
I feel safer knowing forum admins have unrestricted access to my downloads folder, and can scan my files to tell me if they are safe or not.
....yeah, happy new year jenny....

Unknown Publisher
I have just purchased a subscription and downloaded the installer, windows is complaining the software is from an unknown publisher.
Is this normal?
Is there a md5 checksum I can verify the download with?
Seems weird to have paid software come unsigned... just want to make sure i am installing a clean file.
Thanks.
