  • Bug: Stretched textures on Speedtree pack from Unity Asset store

    Hi,

    last week I bought Temperate Deciduous Forest Pack from the Unity Asset store and when using these in Unity 2018.3 (4f1 and 14f1) I get stretched textures:



    I also placed trees directly on a white plane (so without any terrain assets involved) with the same result. From later posts in the Unity forum Speedtree thread it looks like I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.

    Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hello,

    It looks like your textures aren't wrapping. Click on your bark textures and make sure that their wrap mode is set to repeat instead of clamp.

    If your project is currently 2D, then Unity will set your textures to clamp by default. Switch to 3D (in project settings / editor / Mode) and it will not do this.

      Hi Greg

      it looks like the issue shown above for the Oak is solved. I had to set all textures (color, normal, extra,subsurface) to repeat with below result:

      However for the other tree (Birch) I'm afraid this didn't help:

      (I assume the bark is supposed to stick better to the tree)

      p.s. Will the package in the Unity store be updated?

        hello, we will take a look at the package and update the river birch, keep an eye out for the update in the following week!
