  • Failure to acquire license when using command-line export

    Hi,

I'm trying to export an spm file to alembic via command-line, but it fails to acquire a license when running the following:

    speedtree -export /var/tmp/test_speedtree_export.abc mytree.spm

However when I run without exporting it works as usual and will open the modeler with that spm:

    speedtree mytree.spm

Any idea what the issue might be? Please advise.

    Thank you

    Hello,

We have had a report before that this is sometimes a problem when using a license file on linux. What you can do is specify the environment variable before you run the modeler like the following. Note that the variable is case-sensitive

    export idvinc_LICENSE="/path/to/license.lic"

If your license is set inside the Modeler instead of a file then you could copy it into a file instead and do the same thing as above.

    Hope this helps
