Per node force override setting is not saved, any work around?

On editing individual nodes, if you override the force options they are not saved, they do get updated once, after changing the values, however if you update the shape / force afterwards, no changes are saved. If you exit and reenter the node edit, the previous settings are set back to "gen" instead of the overridden setting.

Any fix for this?
