  • SpeedTree locks up my computer

    Hi
Having a problem using SpeedTree run via fxphd. I'm trying to get it to run on my Macbook Pro but not having much luck. My laptop specs are listed below. I can open the programme but as soon as I try to do anything everything locks up and I have to reboot my computer. I have it running fine on my Mac Pro so I gather it must be a graphics card issue. I trawled through the forum which seems to say that only very new laptops will be able to run SpeedTree. My Macbook Pro is only two months only and top spec. Is there a patch or something that could help?

    MacBook Pro
    Retina, Mid 2012
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
    Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C3006)

    Phil

Some Macs have trouble with multisampling. You can disable it by going to the render tab in the preferences and set the multisample amount to disabled. Then you shuold be able to open a tree window fine.

We haven't tracked down the difference yet, unfortunately, but we are looking into it.
