  • World Building/ Single Tree Population w/ 6.1.0 Games Edition

    Is there any way to constrain trees to their parent surface while editing an individual tree node? Or any way to snap the node back to the terrain surface after translating it across the xy plane? (Besides manually adjusting the location.) Similar to a "live" surface in Maya, or a "snap to geometry" function.

    I also remember hearing rumors of 'click to place' object functionality but haven't seen any documentation of this in the new version. I am assuming it doesn't exist.

    Unfortunately, I've got bad news on both fronts. If you move an object after it has been placed it is currently up to you to keep it on the terrain. The current version also doesn't do click to place or instance painting.

    We are looking to improve on this functionality significantly in upcoming releases but as of 6.1.3 we don't have anything like this.
