  • Newbie here - Speedtree to Maya

I want to get some tree's from here into Maya, but I can't figure out how. In most the stuff I've seen people say go " File > Export Mesh " except "Export Mesh" is no longer an option in the File pull-down menu with v8.3.0... Could anyone help me out with this?

Export Mesh is still there (see attached screenprint). Then you can use the script for Maya you find in your SpeedTree installation folder. Something like this on windows:
    C:\Program Files\SpeedTree\SpeedTree Cinema v8.3.0\scripts\Maya
    it's called SpeedTreeImporter.py

Ahhh okay.. Could the problem maybe be that I'm on Mac? Because when I go to File, this is all I see.

I'm guessing here: because you have the UE version you can only take trees directly to UE, maybe. Somebody from SpeedTree can correct me here.

But I could do it with SpeedTree Cinema correct?
