  • Point Cache error

    Im trying to export tree with wind simulation 1000frames/25 fps=40sec (fbx file) and import it to 3dsmax but after when is imported fbx in 3dsmax I have error of PointCache and wind simulation doesnt work.
    Its only when I exported above 100 frames (wind doesnt work even with 200frames...)
    Its full version of speedtree modeler v.8.3.0 Cinema Edition. I was trying to export with MMC/MCX/PC2 and still nothing...

    Hi,

    You need to export the model using the MCX format, which is 64bit. MCC is 32bit will sometimes just stop if your point caches are too big.

      It looks like MCX also doesnt works.
      BUT
      I used PC2 and point catche is ok and its working BUT after 500 frames something wired happens with geometry of tree and rotated geometry automatically...

          Hi,

          By any chance are you using a eval/trail version of the modeler? This limits the amount of frames. If not, would you mind send us the tree? Just do a 'Save as with assets' into a new folder and zip that. Then send it to support@speedtree.com

            I think problem is solved...
            Im exporting now every single frame of point cache and its fine.
