    In the seventh version of the speedtree was a good feature that helped add moss. This feature does not work in newer versions. How to achieve a similar result in the new version of speedtree?

    Hello,

    You'll want to look into using a shell generator to layer something on top of the trunk. This is how moss, peeling bark at the base, etc. is accomplished in v8.

    In this particular tree, since you are using it in so many places, I might recommend to make a larger branch texture and paint the moss in a vertical strip in there. Then, only tile it once in U on the tree, and use node-edited U offset to get them all exactly where you want them. This will save a lot of extra geometry.
