Any idea how to make subsurface and subsurface % for leaves?

Many subsurface textures, such as our trees or quixel's textures are generated from actual scans of leaves. All of SpeedTree's store assets v8 come with a full set of pbr materials if you're looking to purchase.

In a pinch, this method would suffice: Bring in the color map for the subsurface color and brighten it with some extra yellow added in. Then tweak the subsurface amount to a good percentage.

        Hello,
The subsurface amount value is sometimes sufficient as a gradient but you can make a greyscale version of the leaf, make sure the veining has correct tones (ie less light along the thicker stem portions). Handpainting a gradient on top of these is sometimes helpful. All of our SpeedTree materials are processed with in-house software by surface scanning with a light shining through the back of the leaf.
