  • How to export the modified displacement map for other softwares?

I am using speedtree v8 Trial and want to use the exported plants in 3ds max.
I've already found out I can increase the model subdivision through "segments", but is it possible to export the displacement map that I've modified?
I'd like to try if I can use a low-res speedtree exported model, then use displacement modifier in 3ds max.

    Hello,

If you wish to export the low-res subdivision cage you're using, just set the subdivision level to 0 and export selected the affected trunk and branches. Then you can apply subdivision in Max.

There is no exporting of procedural displacement, as that is not really a texture. If you used a displacement asset on it (which is just a texture you loaded in), then you can just use that in Max as well.
