  • Why does lod 3 have 3 material slots?

    Made export in Unreal 4.22 and see 3 material slots on lod with billboard... what i do wrong?

    Hello,

    I see that happening as well. It used to be that all the sections used on the model had to be in all the lod levels or you would get warnings on import, so it may be left over from that.

    Only one section (the billboard one) has any geometry in it, so it will not cause any problems.

      Billboard disabled - 55 calls
      On - 61 calls.
      This means two meshes are drawn. Since one geometry makes a call three times

        Greg Croft Hi Greg .could you explain this a bit more? I also got same problem , and i also checked to be sure my lowest lod have all the elements as lod0.

          Object probably has multiple material slots for each LOD, usually you get that when whoever made the mesh is incompetent. I mean. This is Quixel you're dealing with.
