  • Reduce length of trunk without losing node data on child branches?

Whenever I change the length of the trunk (and then set it back to it's previous value) all of the locations of my child branches are lost. Is there any way to prevent this? Otherwise I feel like I need to get the trunk exactly right before editing the tree further.

    Thanks in advance.

coldscooter: because the branches are procedurally built onto the trunk, its length will affect the child generators attached to it. We would recommend getting the trunk right and moving on to the child generators as their settings will affect the output of their children.

Additionally, if you are node-editing, the node-edits will not be kept when procedural changes to the parent generators overwrite them (information about procedural and manual editing approaches can be found here: https://docs8.speedtree.com/modeler/...delingapproach).

Wish we had better news for you! Let us know if you need anything else.

KatLeeHong Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to get my main trunk right before adding detail with child nodes. Thanks
