  • [NEWBIE Q] ZZ Plant

Is there a way I could make the branches/twigs align both upward and forward?
(I'm trying to make a ZZ plant)

I'm using SpeedTree Modeler Cinema Edition.

    Hi MimiZ,

You can achieve the effect you're looking for by using a combination of the Orientation and Shape settings in your generator editor. You can find this by clicking on your branch/twig generator in your tree structure in the top left of the modeler, then navigating down below to the Spine tab. Here you should see the Orientation and Shape settings. Let me know if this helps!

    Best,
    Caleb F.

MimiZ : to add to what Caleb said, you can read more about the properties of your branch generator's properties on our docs page: http://docs8.speedtree.com/modeler/d...anch_generator

The docs are a great source of information for any features of the modeler that you're curious about. We also have tutorials available on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyf...99bHYfAekJ7pcg

We hope this helps! Best of luck creating your ZZ plant!

I understand how spines work, but I don't know much about shapes. I'll try and read about them. Thank you!
