  • Wind not importing to UE4 correctly

    Hi,

I have an issue with wind in ue4

Ive tried reimporting, deleting and reimporting as well as tweeking the wind settings in the material.
When set to best the leaf meshes move, but not the same way it does in the speedtree editor.

    In UE4

Does anyone have any tips to how I can solve this issue?

    many thanks!

Hello, in SpeedTree you can view the wind settings from a 0-1 power. At the 1 power, does your tree look similar to the wind in unreal. If so, you simply need to turned down the wind strength in Ue4 (it always defaults to full power).

      thank you for replying!

I tired setting my power to 1 in SpeedTree, but it still moves much more naturally.
in unreal the leaves and branches are flat, like the verts arent affected by the wind
