Can't seem to find this answer online or in the Speedtree docs. How do you make leaves start on a tree and then animate to the ground? I see if you
change the seasons, leaves appear starting on the ground. If I export this to Maya it starts with leaves on ground also. But I want to show the
leaves animate to the ground. Thanks

Hi Bcurless, exporting leaf drop animations out of SpeedTree is not currently possible.

In export options you'll see "Leaf references" under "Include"; checking "Leaf references" replaces the leaves with null objects assigned to their position and orientation data. You can use those null objects to apply leaf meshes with animation parameters or a particle system you generate in Maya.

You can find more info on the static mesh export features on our docs: https://docs8.speedtree.com/modeler/...=expstaticmesh

    Hope this helps!

Hi KatLeeHong, thanks for your response! Sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try using null objects and/or a particle system. Thanks again!
