  • Wind rig map for game tree

    Hi,
I dont find a solution about my problem.
This is my question, Speedtree can export a grayscale map of the level of branch for create a rig wind in unreal 4 for exemple ?

Because i need to create a slider for the strength of the wind in unreal, i want to do that with the shader, but if speedtree can export me the grayscale map for my tree i will win a lot of time !

    Thank you !

    Hello,

All wind data is stored in the vertex buffer, not textures. It's not simply an amount, though; there is a lot of packed data concerning wind.

The normal route for SpeedTree wind is to export a .ST file. In UE4, the wind is handled for you. You can control wind strength with a directional wind source.
